The Executive Team of the Diocese of Jaipur and the Women’s Cell of St. Xavier’s Parish felicitated Mrs. Kajal Samuel as a gesture of appreciation and gratitude for her valuable service. The Women’s Cell of St. Xavier’s Parish also felicitated the members of the Executive Team of the Diocese of Jaipur for their support and contribution towards the programme.

Training Session

During the training, Mrs. Kajal Samuel explained the meaning, significance and importance of gender sensitisation. She emphasised the need to treat every individual with equality, dignity and respect, irrespective of gender. She also highlighted the importance of recognising and challenging gender stereotypes, prejudices and discriminatory attitudes that exist in society.

The participants were introduced to the concept of gender-based violence and its various forms, including physical, psychological, emotional, verbal and sexual violence. Through practical examples, discussions and a short skit, the participants gained a better understanding of how violence can affect individuals, families and society as a whole.

An interactive session was also conducted, during which participants actively engaged in discussions on gender discrimination and gender-based violence. They reflected on different real-life situations and shared their views on how such issues can be recognised, addressed and prevented.

The programme further emphasised the importance of supporting survivors of violence and creating a safe, respectful and supportive environment where individuals feel heard and protected. Participants were encouraged to become more aware, sensitive and responsible members of their families, communities and society.

Outcome of the Programme

The training programme strengthened the commitment of the Women’s Commission
towards promoting equality, safety, empowerment and dignity for all. It encouraged participants to recognise their responsibility in challenging discrimination, promoting respectful relationships and contributing towards a society free from violence and inequality.

At the conclusion of the programme, Mrs. Kajal Samuel was warmly thanked for sharing her valuable knowledge, experience and guidance. Special appreciation was also expressed to the CCBI Women’s Commission for its continued support and for facilitating such meaningful awareness programmes.

Refreshments were arranged for the participants, contributing to a warm and welcoming atmosphere throughout the programme.
