Diocese of Ajmer conducted three-day Training for Trainers. Programme was organised and was based on Goal 1 of the CCBI Pastoral Plan – Mission 2033. The programme was led by Sr. Lidwin Fernandes UFS, Executive Secretary of the CCBI Commission for Women.
The training focused on empowering women to recognise their inner worth, discover their strengths and embrace their identity with confidence and purpose. Through meaningful and interactive sessions, participants were encouraged to take responsibility for their personal growth and develop a positive outlook that would enable them to contribute more effectively to their families, parishes, communities and the Church.
Under the guidance of Sr. Lidwin, the women were encouraged to look within themselves, recognise their abilities and understand their potential as leaders. The sessions helped nurture a renewed sense of confidence and responsibility, inspiring participants to become more actively involved in the life and mission of the Church.
A notable strength of the programme was its inclusive and welcoming approach. Women from diverse educational and social backgrounds participated on an equal footing. Regardless of their level of education or personal background, every participant was encouraged to speak, listen, learn and contribute. The warm and respectful environment created during the training helped each woman feel valued, heard and at home.
The programme concluded in the presence of Most Rev. John Carvalho, Bishop of Ajmer, who expressed his wholehearted support for the implementation of the Commission for Women’s one-year action plan. In his encouraging message, Bishop Carvalho urged the women not to lose heart when faced with challenges, including limitations of time, resources or support leadership.
Fr. Lourdes, spiritual director of women's Commission and Sr. Lilian were also present at the concluding ceremony. They congratulated the participants, encouraged them in their new responsibilities and wished them success as they carry forward the mission of empowering women.
The three-day programme concluded on a note of renewed enthusiasm, confidence and commitment. The participants returned to their respective communities with a stronger sense of purpose and a determination to put their learning into action. Equipped with new insights and leadership skills, they committed themselves to becoming instruments of positive change in their families, parishes, society and the Church.
