Message Diocesan Secretaries

When I was approached by Bishop Emeritus Fr. Peter Parapullil in 2012 to serve as the Diocesan Secretary of the Jhansi Diocese Women's Commission, my first reaction was to wonder how much time this new responsibility would demand from me. As a gynaecologist, my schedule was already very demanding.
However, as I gradually began mobilizing women and engaging with the Commission's activities, I was pleasantly surprised to discover its true purpose and strength. I realized that the Women's Commission exists not merely for a select few, but for all women. Yet, its real impact is felt only when it becomes "our" Women's Commission rather than "the" Women's Commission. The day every woman feels a sense of ownership and belonging, our mission of empowerment and liberation will truly be fulfilled.
Over the years, I have come to enjoy this work immensely and feel deeply blessed to have been chosen for such a noble mission. Serving women, listening to their concerns, and helping them grow in confidence and dignity has been both rewarding and inspiring.
May God Almighty continue to bless and guide us as we work selflessly for the welfare, empowerment, and upliftment of women. May He grant us the wisdom, strength, and compassion to serve with dedication and love.
