A New Crop Thanksgiving Celebration was joyfully celebrated at Denari-Maska-Mahudi Parish
of Banswara, Diocese of Udaipur. The faithful gathered together with gratitude and joy to thank
Almighty God for the blessings of the new harvest and to seek His continued blessings upon
their families and community.
The celebration reflected the rich spirit of faith, unity and fellowship among the parishioners.
Everyone participated enthusiastically, making the occasion a joyful and meaningful celebration
of God’s abundant blessings.
After the Holy Mass, a Parish Council meeting was conducted. The meeting witnessed an
encouraging and almost equal participation of men and women, with approximately 50%
representation from each.
It was particularly heartening to see women actively expressing their views, sharing suggestions
and participating confidently in the discussions and decision-making process. The women
received wholehearted support and encouragement from the men and other members of the
parish.
This equal participation is a commendable example of women’s empowerment and gender
equality within the Church community. It demonstrates that when women are given equal
opportunities to speak, contribute and lead, the entire community becomes stronger and more
inclusive.
The initiative at Banswara Parish is truly encouraging and reflects the spirit of shared
responsibility, mutual respect and equal participation of men and women in the life of the
Church.
